If the exposure was more even, I feel more detail would have been picked up. Detail is good in closeups. Remember the rule of thirds. He's dead center up and down and his head is a little close to the center for my liking. Dragon: Because you have a point and shoot, it auto-apertured and created kind of an overall grey effect. Check to see if you can change the aperture on your point and shoot, sometimes you can. Curloo: Love it. Except the leaf in the way. I understand the effect, however right next to his face is a bit distracting. Pelican: Again, beautiful. But rule of thirds. Bit in the middle. Passion: Gorgeous. Great color. Distinct focal point, yet the rest of the photo is still really interesting. In this case, rule of thirds out the window and it's just fine, in my opinion. Above the canopy: I noticed it's your brother's, i'll talk about it anyway. The color is fantastic. The cables are great leading lines to the mountains. But the horizon is dead center, which I'm sure you've figured out is a pet peeve of mine. I think it would have been better as a horizontal picture, landscape wise I mean. With the cables on one of the horizontal thirds and the horizon on the lower vertical third. Just my opinion. Butterfly: I like the mirrored image of the leaves. They're the same shape as the butterfly. Probably an accident, but one to take credit for. The rest didn't really strike my fancy, but I can see that you're trying. You have an eye for composition, but you just need to develop it. The best way to do that is to take millions of pictures and do what I just did you your own pictures. What's good about it? What could improve? And then try to use that new knowledge in your next photo expedition. Any questions, let me know! Keep shooting! Picture by picture here. :)

Just think what having a nice (d)SLR might help. The learning curve takes a rather steep incline, so be prepared for it. Nice job, keep going. Some are better than others, of course.
