I think it is outstanding!!! Especially without having an SLR camera. You have a good eye for photography. =]

Cool! I’m not a photographer myself, but I like you pictures a lot. How do you get close up like that? Anyways, I love how you like to take pictures of nature. Animal pictures are always interesting to me :)

body slams and pile drivers away…..

actually i quite enjoyed your images, good outdoors stuff, some pleasing angles, some not so pleasing, the exposures are a bit bland, some processing could flash them up a bit, compositions arent to bad, some are a bit central,

some nice nature shots there, enjoy making images, have a look at some youtube tutorials maybe on – (photographic) exposure, composition, view point, et cetera, keep having fun

    thanks for the share

First of all, an SLR camera doesn’t make a photographer. A passionate eye and a love for capturing life’s images with a lens in general makes a photographer. A couple of these images stand out enough to show hints of a passionate eye but most of them just don’t have the composition. Not saying that a professional photographer gets a perfect shot every time but you can tell the difference between your shots and someone who has been in the field a lot longer. Sometimes all the practice in the world won’t get you anywhere in the dog-eat-dog business that is photography when you don’t have that desirable eye.

    wow,
    thats greatttt.[:

Some are better than others, of course.
Dragon and Passion show good lighting, most of the rest have either hot spots or are washed out.
The shots of the cats and ducks – you are not working in any composition and are getting to close to the subject.
The butterfly pix are okay, just better than average snapshots.

Just think what having a nice (d)SLR might help. The learning curve takes a rather steep incline, so be prepared for it.

    Nice job, keep going.

    Reptile:
Part is overexposed (his back) and part is underexposed (his face). If the exposure was more even, I feel more detail would have been picked up. Detail is good in closeups. Remember the rule of thirds. He’s dead center up and down and his head is a little close to the center for my liking.

    Dragon:
Because you have a point and shoot, it auto-apertured and created kind of an overall grey effect. Check to see if you can change the aperture on your point and shoot, sometimes you can.
    Curloo:
Love it. Except the leaf in the way. I understand the effect, however right next to his face is a bit distracting.

    Pelican:
Again, beautiful. But rule of thirds. Bit in the middle.

    Passion:
Gorgeous. Great color. Distinct focal point, yet the rest of the photo is still really interesting. In this case, rule of thirds out the window and it’s just fine, in my opinion.

    Above the canopy:
I noticed it’s your brother’s, i’ll talk about it anyway. The color is fantastic. The cables are great leading lines to the mountains. But the horizon is dead center, which I’m sure you’ve figured out is a pet peeve of mine. I think it would have been better as a horizontal picture, landscape wise I mean. With the cables on one of the horizontal thirds and the horizon on the lower vertical third. Just my opinion.

    Butterfly:
I like the mirrored image of the leaves. They’re the same shape as the butterfly. Probably an accident, but one to take credit for.

The rest didn’t really strike my fancy, but I can see that you’re trying. You have an eye for composition, but you just need to develop it. The best way to do that is to take millions of pictures and do what I just did you your own pictures. What’s good about it? What could improve? And then try to use that new knowledge in your next photo expedition.

    Any questions, let me know!
    Keep shooting!

I like “a bugs life” the best, and the cat pictures are good, but I’m just saying that because I love cats.
