Look it’s a tough gig to get into. First you need to have some schooling in fashion. You need a art photography degree. and maybe a minor in fashion. You need to build you portfolio with great fashion shots. You need to spend every dime you can get your hands on and maybe money you’ll have to borrow on a camera and equipment. The premier camera for this kinda work is Hasselblad, be prepared to hock everything you own. A laptop will be need. This a life time investment with many ten of thousands even hundreds of thousands to be invested.
You’ll your own studio, or at least a studio kit where you can carry your studio lighting system around with you to a location. Look for models go to the closet university with a fashion design program and find some promising seniors and ask to shoot their stuff.
After you get some photos together, start applying for internship paid or unpaid.
