Many periodical (monthly) photography magazines run monthly contests, check out Popular Photography, Outdoor Photographer, Peterson’s Photographic, American Photo and others.
For candid critique, try right here @ YA, with a link posted to your image. Bear in mind however, you will get mixed reviews here on YA, by both novice and pro alike and as with any critique, you must be prepared to accept the good with the bad….
